Our Legacy
In over 175 years history of the town, Clifton Park Democrats have had a majority on the Town Board for just six years (1986–1992). During that brief period, we accomplished the following and much more:
- Clifton Common CAPTAIN/Senior Center Building
- Ice Arena
- Started 4th of July parades and free summer concerts
- Public Safety building – helped keep State Police in town
- Created a Comprehensive Master Plan to control growth
All of this was done with the smallest staff in Town Hall, the smallest budgets per capita of residents and a $2 million surplus.
What has Happened?
The policies of the all-Republican Town Board have caused the following problems:
- Uncontrolled growth
- Unfair water rates
- Insufficient policy on police protection
- Unwillingness to listen to the concerns of residents
Time for a New Generation of Leaders to Step Up
You can't change Town Hall until you change the people you send there. It's time for a new generation of leaders to step up for Clifton Park. In November, it's time to elect the Team with 2020 vision – for today and tomorrow.
We're supporting a team that is Ready to Lead, Ready to Serve…
- to work with you to define our Town vision
- to protect our tax dollars
- to seek creative answers to our local issues
- to respect and listen to our residents
The change we need. The voices we deserve.
